Treasure

My dear readers, have you ever lose something really important in your life? Do you know the feeling of getting caught up in those situations? The more important question is, have you ever realise that you do not know what you have until it is gone? This is a very good topic given to me from a very good friend of mine which I would like to write a story on.

There was a brat name Tyler. He was 16 and he lived with his family. He would say that he was not one of his family's favourite person. This was his daily life routine; he wakes up early in the morning everyday for school. After school, he would always go spend all the money his parents gave on arcades. From the arcades, he goes from north to south spending his limited time on unnecessary activities. He rarely spend time with his family. He had always left his parents worrying for him before he comes home. When he comes home, his parents would always tend to lecture him and threaten him to leave the house upon his bad behaviours. He had always fight back with foul languages pouring out from his mouth without showing any respect.

One day, he stole a large sum of money from his parents and left the house. He then lives in a small rented room far from where his family is. The room is not at all comfortable to live in. For days, his parents couldn't get in touch with him leaving them feeling so worried. Somehow, after all the complications happened between him and his family, he still get in contact with his younger brother on alternate days secretly.

Few weeks later, Tyler had run out of money to support himself. No food, no drinks, no money to even pay his rent. Then he got thrown out of his room by the owner for not settling the dept he owed. Without a place to stay, he wandered around the streets never even having the thought of going back where he belongs. Suddenly, his younger brother appeared right in front of him with tears flowing down his soft cheeks furiously. He cried loudly for Tyler's name. In shocked Tyler was wondering what in the world has happened. His younger brother then spilled out that their parents have died caught up in a car crash. After listening to that horrible statement, he broke down and fell on his knees. He was too deeply shocked that not even a drop of tears could come out from his eyes. From that moment on, he vowed to himself that he will never ever do anything which he thinks his parents wouldn't want him to do. Also, from that moment on, a feeling of guilt for not treasuring his parents' love stucked in his pierced heart.

Parents always tend to lecture us. Could you think of a reason why? The reason is simple. They lecture us because they would not ever want us to walk the wrong road of our life. Trust me, parents are the people in the world that love you and truly care for you. This is the thing teenagers now a days never think of. Love and care from their parents. Think of it, how would you feel if your child or the person you love is walking the negative road? We should always treasure whatever we have right now before they fade away. Do not wait until they are gone only you realise what you have been missing all your life. Treasure the precious time given to you instead of letting it go to waste. Life is short and unpredictable. Appreciate your parents and never to fail them leaving them to dissapointment.
